From Shiodome

To Aomori

In one day!
For a wedding party and ceremony! Both went well and the couples were lovely people! But I was dead tired after it was all over! The hotel was nice enough to put me up in one of their premium rooms for the night- so nice!

Before I went to bed I decided to go out for a bite to eat. I ended up stopping at a large patio near Aomori Station, where I found an English Pub! The owner Robert had just set up shop a few weeks prior. He came to Aomori for skiing, fell in love with Japan and decided to open his own bar! Isn't that amazing? Even though he's only been open for a few weeks he has managed to build a solid customer base. If you are ever in Aomori stop by Carpe Diem and say hello!

After having a beer I went for a little stroll near Aomori Station....

Wasn't much going on though you could see that everybody was gearing up for the annual Nebuta Matsuri! I wish I could have been there!

Before I left in the morning I had to have some Aomori seafood! So I had the 三食丼!Three different types of fresh and delicious seafood; salmon roe, sea urchin and...umm...I can't remember! Maybe it was only two types of seafood??? Anyway, it was good! It's so funny, I wouldn't have touched those things with a ten foot pole 6 years ago but now I don't even think about it!
