It's been quite a while since I posted to this blog! I've been having too much fun on the road, first with JUJU and now with the legendary Toshi Kubota! I must say that however rotten I am feeling from day to day, that I must give thanks for being able to continue working doing something I love.
In my last post I discussed some of the issues I've been having with finding the right medium to let people know what I'm doing and what I've been up to lately. I'm still having that issue, and I'm hoping it will be resolved with the relaunch of my website, www.oliviaburrell.com. It's been taken on and off the web for various reasons that are too long and complicated to explain now, but I finally have the support and direction I need to get the site back up and running again! The launch date will be on my birthday, August 18th, 2010.

Some other big news...the UNDERCOVER LOVER Reggae project I've been working on since last year, finally hits stores today! You can buy both albums, part one "UnderCover Lover - Cover Me - Tokyo Cafe" and part two, "UnderCover Lover - Cover Me - Sunset Beach" , on Amazon, iTunes, Tower Records, HMV and most record stores across Japan.
It's a very laid back, easy breezy approach to covering some of today's popular rock, reggae, alternative and pop songs, in lovers rock style. Perfect for a day at the beach, or some chill time at your favorite cafe! Please pick up a copy if you can!

Also....I just found out that Japan's most popular interior design and lifestyle shop, FRANC FRANC, has decided to put the CD in their store playlist and on their store shelves! This is especially great news since Franc Franc only sells house/dance music. It's the first time ever for a reggae CD to be sold nationwide at their stores! should appear in their CD sections at the end of this month! History in the making!
